This 6-day adventure takes you on a captivating trail from Paro to Thimphu, offering you a chance to experience the raw beauty of Bhutan’s mountains, forests, and monasteries, while connecting with the country’s rich cultural heritage.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Paro
- Arrive in Paro and transfer to your hotel. Explore Paro Dzong and visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, before preparing for your trek.
Day 2: Paro to Jele Dzong (Altitude: 3,500m)
- Start your trek from Paro, hiking through pine forests and alpine meadows. Reach Jele Dzong, a beautiful fortress and monastery perched above the valley, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Day 3: Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha (Altitude: 3,800m)
- Trek through dense forests of blue pine, oak, and rhododendron, enjoying breathtaking views of Mount Jomolhari. Camp at Jangchulakha, known for its scenic beauty and serene atmosphere.
Day 4: Jangchulakha to Jimilang Tsho (Altitude: 3,880m)
- Continue your trek, crossing a ridge that offers panoramic views of the Himalayas. Reach Jimilang Tsho, a stunning lake known for its crystal-clear waters and tranquility. This is a perfect spot for relaxation and reflection.
Day 5: Jimilang Tsho to Phajoding (Altitude: 3,700m)
- After breakfast, descend to Phajoding, crossing more alpine meadows and forests. Visit Phajoding Monastery, which offers magnificent views of Thimphu valley and the surrounding mountains.
Day 6: Phajoding to Thimphu (Altitude: 2,300m)
- A short and pleasant descent brings you to the capital city of Thimphu. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring Thimphu’s attractions like the Buddha Dordenma statue, Tashichho Dzong, and the local handicraft markets. Transfer to the airport for your departure in the evening.

The daily package includes the following
- Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) charged by the government of Bhutan of US$ 100 per person per night, which is utilized for projects that promote Bhutan’s economic, social, environmental, and cultural development
- Accommodation in government certified 3-star hotel

The daily package excludes the following
- Bhutan visa fee of US$ 40 per person
- External and internal flights; we can arrange incoming and outgoing flights at cost
